SPRING DINNER*

PRNNC and The Greenwich Newcomers & Neighbors Club got together last year at Emily Shaw's (formally the Inn at Pound Ridge) located at 258 Westchester Avenue.  Everyone had been waiting and as of April, 2007, Emily Shaw's opened for business.  On Cinco de Mayo the party began in the Piano Bar, with a cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a 4-course dinner.  For more information contact Nikki McMann at 763-5073 or prnnc@hotmail.com.

VEGAS NIGHT*

Welcome to Vegas!  Our annual “kick-off” event and fundraiser is held each year at Conant Hall.  We have black jack, poker, Texas Hold’Em, craps and roulette.   So grab the dice, get the cards and put on your dancing shoes.  All paid club members receive "funny money" to buy real chips for play. At the end of the evening chips are turned in for some amazing prizes for the top players.  This event is free for everyone!!!   For more information contact Nikki McMann at 763-5073 or prnnc@hotmail.com.

A HIKING WE WILL GO!

For information on hiking in the area, contact Fran Levy-Sicignano. Fran is the membership chairperson for the Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK). Call Fran for the details of hikes or for general information about the ADK club at 764-9056 or email her at fnl@optonline.net.

REAL MEN DO COOK*

It’s the mens’ turn!  Men whip together some fantastic recipes while the women get to taste and judge each dish. This cook-off has been a tradition with PRNNC for many years.  Each May, this event is held at the elegant home of Starr and Marty Nass. Men are asked to prepare a favorite dish to share -- whatever your specialty, anything goes.  Ladies are asked to supplement the mens' culinary talents by bringing an appetizer or dessert.   If you missed it last year, please remember to mark your calendar for May 3, 2008.  For more information contact Starr at 764-1800 x326 or prnnc@hotmail.com.

COOKIE EXCHANGE

Just in time for the holidays, this event is held each year in December.  Each guest is asked to bring several dozen cookies to a local home to share with others. Everyone goes home with a selection of cookies and favors…with half the work.  For more information contact prnnc@hotmail.com.

HOLIDAY PARTY*

Caroline Shepherd and Mike Neeley make a great team when it comes to planning a party at a local home.  Each December they co-organize this event and help PRNNC kick off the holiday season in style with our annual holiday party.  If you missed this party then we missed you - we hope you will join us this year and hope to see you at an event soon. This is one of our biggest parties of the year. For more information contact Caroline Shepherd at 764-3104 or prnnc@hotmail.com.

FAMILY BBQ

Help us celebrate the end of another fun season at our annual family BBQ at the home of Dawn & Bob Decker. Members and non-members may come out to swim, play horseshoes and other fun games.  A clown entertains the kids and does face painting.  Win a chance for a great prize.  Non-members can also take advantage of a free entry for the raffle drawing if they sign up for next season.  In the spirit of giving, please bring books or DVDs in good condition to donate to the Pound Ridge Library.  For more information contact Dawn Decker at 764-5190 or  prnnc@hotmail.com.

WINE TASTING EVENTS*

In the past the Club has held blind wine tastings and brought in Westchester Wine School to give a wine course.  One year the customized theme was the ABCs of Wine:  from A-appreciating wine tastes and aromas to B-buying and storing wine; to C-comparing new emerging wine regions, varieties, and vintages.  A lively combination of information and lore about each wine was designed to add to the enjoyment of the wine and event.  Great event for wine lovers!  For more information contact Nicole Fields at 764-3062 or Dawn Decker at 764-5190.

VALENTINE LUNCHEON*

Held the Friday after Valentine’s Day, this special annual luncheon gives a great reason to get together, network with others, and just enjoy a nice lunch.   For 2008 it will be held in the home of Laura and Jim Evans.  In the spirit of “Love Thy Neighbor,” bring a friend.  A promotion available this day only allows your friend to enjoy a 50% discount in the annual membership fee as well as this event free.  For more information contact Anne Cook at 763-4625 or prnnc@hotmail.com.

CRAFT & SUPPER NIGHT

The PRNNC Club hosts a light dinner and craft night at a local home. In the past, we have used rubber stamps, permanent inks and markers to make crafts such as clocks and birthday calendar. At the end of the night the craft is ready for gift giving or to keep for yourself. All the materials you will need to complete the selected project are provided along with a light meal for a low cost. It is easy and fun, so bring a friend!  For more information contact Shari at 764-4856 or  prnnc@hotmail.com.
